Japanese covers to George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series. Cover art is by Ken Sugawara.

Digging these covers. I wish more American novels used illustration with their covers.

I’m not sure who the character is in the second-to-last cover. Do you think that’s Catelyn? I was thinking it could be Melisandre, but there isn’t a dash of red on her.

Always keep your foes confused. If they are never certain who you are or what you want, they cannot know what you are like to do next. Sometimes the best way to baffle them is to make moves that have no purpose, or even seem to work against you. Remember that, Sansa, when you come to play the game."
“What… what game?”
“The only game. The game of thrones.

Littlefinger to Sansa Stark, A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin

(I could be reading too much into it, but it feels like this might be some of Martin’s logic to the whole series. In the best way possible. Keep ‘em on their toes, as they say…)
