The Relief Prints of 2013
A gallery of the relief prints I completed in 2013. I’d say it was a good year for printmaking.
If you’re interested, there are still some left at my shop.
here are all the game of thrones characters I’ve drawn thus far.
think theres gonna be some more in a few months
These are fantastic!
My fave GOT couple!
Some good fan art by Victoria Ying. I like the textured brush work in this.
Japanese covers to George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series. Cover art is by Ken Sugawara.
Digging these covers. I wish more American novels used illustration with their covers.
I’m not sure who the character is in the second-to-last cover. Do you think that’s Catelyn? I was thinking it could be Melisandre, but there isn’t a dash of red on her.
Another new print for Comikaze, 11”x11” matte. Four more days… I am not ready ^^; (table AA532)
The Stark and Reed crew by Irene Flores!
Calling the Khaleesi design done.
I’ll be submitting this to the Comic Ink show at Locust Moon Comics, which opens November 1 in Philadelphia.
Some in-progress artwork for the Comic Ink gallery show at Locust Moon Comics in a couple weeks.
The Wolf Girl & The Hound
A linoleum block relief print inspired by George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series and the TV show Game of Thrones.
The print will be debuting at the Locust Moon Comics Festival this Saturday in Philadelphia.
Any remaining prints will be available in my Storenvy shop next week. Prints are now available at my Storenvy shop.
Fresh off the press (urr, well, the photo was taken earlier today), it’s The Wolf Girl and the Hound, my Game of Thrones inspired relief print that will be debuting at the Locust Moon Comics Festival on October 5!
Any remaining prints (which I’m sure there will be some) will be available in my online store around October 7. I’ll keep you posted.
The latest episode of Breaking Bad sounds like five Red Weddings rolled into one episode.
One of the things that I’m bringing to SPX this year is my Game of Thrones postcard pack, now with 100% MORE ARTHUR DAYNE.
I drew everyone’s favorite legendary Kingsguard to round things out with 5 4x6 cards for 5 bucks— that’s Ser Arthur Dayne, The Leech Lord, King’s Landing, the North, and The Maid of Tarth herself!
(the back of each postcard has handlettered names of the scene/person, as well)
Sam Bosma & I will be at table M8! Stop by and say hello! I’ll be posting more SPX stuff I’m bringing in the next couple days.
So, I won’t be able to make it to SPX this year, but by the Old Gods and the New, I sure would love to get my hands on one of these postcard packs. If there’s some kind soul out there who’s willing to pick one up for me, it would be grand. I’ll give you money in advance, I’ll reimburse you…whatever works.
“There was a tacit understanding between them that ‘liquor helped’; growing more miserable with every glass one hoped for the moment of relief.”
— Graham Greene, The Heart of the Matter
The Iron Throne as described in the novels, officially endorsed by GRRM on his blog as the most accurate artistic representation thus far. By artist Mark Simonetti.
“If you think this has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention.”
Freaking fantastic foreshadowing. Like a boss.
